Netflix Confirms Hit Fashion-Comedy Show Emily in Paris Will End With Season 6

Netflix announced that its romantic comedy hit “Emily in Paris” will end after its upcoming sixth season. Production for the final season is already underway in Greece and Monaco.

The lead star of the fashion comedy hit series, Lily Collins, announced the news to fans in a video message saying, “After six unforgettable years of playing Emily Cooper, I’m here to share that this upcoming sixth season will be our final.”

When the show first aired on the streaming platform back in October 2020, during the peak pandemic lockdown time, it was watched by 58 million households in the first month of release. It is now one of the most loved and consistent international performers, recording about 250 million views globally between 2023 and 2025. Season 5 alone remained in Netflix’s worldwide top for five consecutive weeks.

Season 5, released in December 2025, drew widespread traction online, with about 26.8 million views globally in just 11 days. This prompted Netflix to renew the series for a sixth season on Jan. 5, 2026.

Production is scheduled to run from May 11 to Sept. 30, 2026, with filming in Greece and Monaco before returning to Paris for the conclusion. Lily Collins and the cast began filming on May 18, 2026, in Mykonos, Greece.

Alongside Collins, the series stars Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, Eugenio Franceschini, Thalia Besson, Paul Forman, Arnaud Binard, Minnie Driver, Bryan Greenberg and Michèle Laroque.

Creator Darren Star said in a statement, “Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime. As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount, and, most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us. We can’t wait to share this last chapter with you.”

Netflix has not yet confirmed an official premiere date, but the season is expected to release in late 2026 or early 2027.
